Die Cut Labels VS. Kiss Cut Labels

The main differences between these two cut options, comes down to the paper backing on each label.

Die-Cut decal

Die-cut means that we are cutting through both the vinyl labelmaterial and the paper backing. This cut type doesn't leave any material around the label. Another way to look at it is to think of it like a "cookie cutter." Your decals are all individually cut out to the contour of your design, so you have individually cut labels with no paper material around the design.

* Please note, back slit (crack and peel) is only available on labels 3" x 3" up to 12" x 12". *

Kiss-Cut Sticker

Kiss-cut means we are only cutting through the vinyl layer ("label material") and not cutting through the paper backing, leaving a paper material border around your label. When you choose a kiss-cut label, you will have extra material around your label for easy peeling.

Product Information

What material is used for your custom beer labels?

We offer two vinyl material options for your custom beer bottle labels. Our removable vinyl material is made from a low tack vinyl that adheres perfectly to smooth, non-porous surfaces like glass and plastic.

If you are looking for something more durable, we recommend our permanent vinyl material. Made from a calendered vinyl material with an outdoor durability of 3 to 5 years when properly applied and maintained.

Both materials come laminated with a scratch, UV, and moisture resistant lamination to help your labels stick for longer.

Do your beer labels have a glossy or matte finish?

Our beer bottle labels come in both a gloss or matte finish.

Will my design impact the pricing of my beer labels?

Colors, fonts, and images will not affect the pricing of your custom beer labels. The only factors that will impact the price of your labels are the size and quantity you order.

The only time color will affect your price is if you request a color match proof. If you need a color match proof, please contact us to speak with one of our friendly customer service reps!

Do you have a minimum quantity order when it comes to beer label printing?

Yes, for custom beer labels, the minimum quantity you can order is 5 labels. But ordering more beer labels does have its benefits, the more you order the more you save on the cost per label.

Will you send me a proof before printing my beer labels?

Yes, we offer free artwork proofs that will let you see how your personalized beer labels will look prior to us putting them into production. This will let you check for any typos or artwork errors, giving you more control over your order.

How small or large can my custom beer label be?

You can print your label as small as 3” x 3” or as big as 12” x 12”. Giving you the option to print a label big enough for kegs and growlers and as small enough for your standard beer bottle.
If you are looking for a size option that you do not see listed, please fill out our custom quote form and one of our customer service reps will reach out to you to assist you on your project.

Common Uses

What are some common uses for beer labels?

Beer labels are commonly used by microbreweries and homebrewers to turn their plain bottles into a work of art, displaying their company information, logo, ABV’s, IBU’s, and the ever important catchy name for their craft beer.

But these labels are not limited to just beer bottles, they are printed on a calendered vinyl material that will stick to any smooth non-porous surface such as aluminum, metal, stainless steel, cardboard, glass, plastic, etc. So if you need labels for your kegs, growlers, crowlers, or cans, custom beer labels will get the job done.

What surfaces can beer labels be placed on?

Beer labels can be placed on both plastic or glass bottles as well as aluminum cans. Essentially they can be placed on any smooth non-porous surfaces such as cardboard, aluminum, glass, stainless steel, etc.
